President Buhari reportedly insists on Magu as EFCC boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly insisted his choice of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of the EFCC. According to a recent report by Punch Newspaper, the President had written to the Senate, asking the lawmakers to confirm Magu as the anti-graft chairman. It was further reported that Buhari’s letter was in response to the Senate reply on the rejection of Magu as EFCC chairman.

Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, was rejected by the Senate over an alleged report by DSS.
